Food in Fashion Collaborative Wine Dress

This piece was a collaboration between me and my peer, Jazlynn Early. Together we worked alongside a local Lubbock winery and restaurant, The Funky Door, to create an avante garde dress, 75% of which was made using materials provided to us by the restaurant. The dress features a double layered corset with 18 panels. A long, beaded overskirt is connected at the ankles to a wine-stained menu trim. Two “wings” contain corks from the wine served at the restaurant, matching the cork neck piece.
